Facebook has revealed plans to redesign the desktop version last year. The company wanted to make things less complex, simple to use, and introduce new features such as a dark mode for the entire site. Facebook is about to launch a new redesign for its social network, and you can try the new design with just a few clicks.
The new Facebook is an interface update that places more focus on Groups and Events – the two biggest reasons people visit Facebook every day. It also means that the news feed will be less available on the new design of Facebook.
The new design that features a reworked layout including a new desktop UI for the user profile, public page, community groups, and video feeds, has been made available to users at random for testing and feedback.
The new interface features a less clogged background and brighter colors. It even comes with a dark mode background, which is perhaps the best thing it offers for those who’ve been expecting it. You can send feedback about the new design, in order to help the social network fix any bugs it may have. You can go back to the website’s previous look in case if you decide to enjoy it before the new design is rollout. If you don’t see the option in your feed, you can try tapping the arrow icon within the upper right and select “See Facebook Beta” from the drop-down menu. If you turned on the new design but not liking the new design, you can undo the changes and get the classic Facebook UI back easily. You just have to click or tap your profile picture in the upper-right of the page to open the quick menu, then select Switch to Classic Facebook.
